What is self-storage?
Self-Storage is a simple storage solution. You only pay for what you need. It's safe, clean, dry, secure and flexible. If you are moving home, need extra storage space, de-cluttering or a growing business, we have a range of units from 30sq.ft to 10,000sq.ft.
Who can use self-storage?
Anybody and everybody. Everybody needs storage at sometime, from archive storage to Christmas decorations. We have a unit to suit your needs.
How safe will my goods be?
We have the latest security technology. Our sites have 24hour video CCTV, alarm systems monitored with automated access.
Who holds a key to my unit?
You are the sole key holder to your unit unless you wish to nominate another authorised representative. We can hold a key on your file should you wish.
What about locks?
We have security padlocks that can be purchased from our Box shop in Reception.
How do I pay?
We accept a number of payment methods. We can take all major credit/debit cards either in person or over the telephone, cash, cheque or standing order. Standing order form can be completed at the same time as our license agreement.
Can I look at the units/Storage space before I rent?
Yes, just call into our Store and our Friendly staff will be more than happy to give you a guided tour.
Do you have 24Hr Access?
Yes, our friendly staff will be more than happy to discuss your requirements.
How much notice do I have to give you if I rent a unit?
None, you can choose to rent immediately or you can reserve a unit at a cost of as little as £20.00 per reservation.
What paperwork is required and do I need legal advice?
We ask that you complete a simple license agreement and declaration with our store manager. You need to bring ID, e.g. passport or driving license, Proof of address, e.g. Utility Bill or Bank Statement. Insurance cover for your goods, if not available we provide an insurance option, Bank details if you wish to pay by standing order. You do not require a solicitor.
What is the cost to obtain access to my effects?
Nothing. You can access your goods as often as you like with nothing extra to pay. Our Stores are open 6 days a week. Monday to Friday 8am until 6pm and Saturday 9am until 4pm.
Do you carry out removals?
No, but we have a number of approved removal companies and van hire companies from which we can obtain discounts for you. Our Store managers can give details of the various local companies.
Do you provide packaging materials?
Yes, we offer a wide range of packing materials that can be purchased from our Box Shop at reception or online.
What is the minimum rental period?
You can rent your unit from a minimum of two weeks, for as long as you like, all we ask is two weeks notice of vacation.
How much Storage space do I need?
Click on our Space Estimator for a quick estimate of your requirements. All of our units are Drive-up where you can access them directly from your vehicle. Contact us if you need further guidance.
What if I have heavy/bulky items?
We provide a range of pallets trucks and even a forklift truck, all provided Free Of Charge!
If I have a delivery/collection, do I have to be there?
No, just notify us at the store that you are expecting a delivery and we will receive your delivery for you. We will even lock your delivery into your unit for you, (provided we have your permission and you have a key on file).
Are there parking facilities?
Yes, our storage centres have free parking spaces outside for your convenience.
Is there anything that I cannot store?
You cannot store any illegal items, inflammable or perishable goods. If you are storing anything that requires fuel, then it must be drained of fuel prior to storing.
Do I have to extend my household insurance cover?
We can provide you with an insurance option to cover your goods at a rate of 1.00 per thousand pounds value with a minimum value of 2,000.00.
Are there any additional costs I have to pay (rates, electric, service charges etc)?
All you have to pay is the monthly unit rental and insurance, No other charges will be made for rates, electric, service charges etc.
I have a business with too much stock can you help?
We can provide a full range of sizes for your requirements, you can even change the size of your unit should your needs alter.
How do I pay?

I need storage space and also an office?
No problem! We have a range of larger sized units and also flexible sized office space. We also can offer you Photocopying and Fax services, even a mailbox to have your business post sent to you if required.
What is the best way to pack my breakables?
It is best to wrap individually. Plates are best stored on edge and not flat. Cups and bowls can be wrapped and placed inside each other. Packing paper and Bubble wrap plastic can be purchased from our Box Shop at Reception. Remember to use good quality cartons (also available at our Box Shop).
What is the best way to utilise my space?
It's better to plan your storage space. Place the items that you may need close to the front. Use uniform sized cartons (it's better to use a good quality as you don't want a collapsed box, quality boxes can be purchased from our Box Shop at Reception) Fill the boxes, but don't overload them, remember you still have to lift them. Stack lighter boxes on top of heavier boxes, remember that space inside wardrobes - this can be filled with smaller items. Make an inventory of your boxes and mark breakables with "FRAGILE".
